It’s good to be back in the saddle as the holidays come to a close and another year of school and work is on the horizon.
It’s been about a week and a half since I’ve last posted this newsletter and a lot has happened since then. I did manage to spend a couple of days mainly focused on unwinding but most of the last week and a half has been spent focused on trying to build a solid foundation to start 2020 with.
I spent much of the early part of this afternoon completely tidying up my file management system (read: finally clearing out my trash can and desktop of the six million screenshots that were on it before) and it feels like I have a new wind in my sails knowing that I don’t have to spend six years looking for ~that~ file anymore. Still working on getting to inbox zero though but that’s a task for another newsletter.
There was also last night’s devastating loss for the Seattle Seahawks that we won’t spend too much more time dwelling on that.
Let me recommend some stuff to you:
I’m finally getting around to watching Star Wars for the first time and I’ve really been enjoying it a ton. Return of the Jedi is my next watch.
Listen to this: I posted my final episode of Heavy Rotation for the year, which bounces around a lot from chill downtempo ballads to the usual bangers I play on a weekly basis. It’s available on Anchor in the link and everywhere you listen to podcasts.
Watch this: I also posted a new video this morning chronicling the climate strike held here in Atlanta in September that got overshadowed in the coverage of the strikes happening in other cities around the world.
Watch this: If you’re in the mood for a lighthearted and good-natured coming-of-age sitcom that’ll remind you a ton of Disney Channel’s original shows, Alexa & Katie is a joy to watch. Season 3 is streaming starting today on Netflix.
Tweets of the day: Stephen A Smith being a class A troll to Dallas Cowboys fans…
And Kevin Harlan possibly giving the call of the year (or should I say calls) as he did play by play for the Dolphins’ game-winning drive against the Patriots AS he was calling the Chiefs-Chargers game at the same time.
See you tomorrow,
- Andrew
